The Killaloe OPP is investigating a cryptocurrency scam that cost a local couple over $370,000.
The OPP started investigating on June 14th, 2022.
The victims invested a large sum of money to purchase cryptocurrency from an alleged reputable investment company.
The OPP says once a request was made to withdraw the alleged investment gains, the fraudulent company made excuses as to why the couple could not receive payment.
No money was provided back to the couple.
