Troy Purcell is running for a seat on council in Pembroke. Purcell is retired from Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and spent 17-years managing the health centres. He has always had an interest in politics and with more spare time on his hands figured it was a great opportunity to give back to the community.
Purcell was born and raised in Pembroke and while he loves the city he says there’s a lot of opportunities to make it better for everyone.
This is the first attempt for Purcell to get elected to Pembroke City Council. He says a vote for him is a vote for change.
The campaign slogan for Purcell is “Leadership, Action and Getting Results” with key priorities including economic development, fiscal responsibility and oversight, and improvements to local infrastructure. Purcell says he’s a big believer that all stakeholders should be engaged and involved in the decision making process.
