Jane Wood is running for a seat on Pembroke City Council. Wood was posted to Pembroke in 2008 and after leaving the military she opened Nourish the Moment and works as a Nutrition and Mindfulness Practitioner.
This is the first time Wood has decided to run for Pembroke Council and says she wants to help put Pembroke on the map and showcase everything the city has to offer.
Wood is seeking a seat on Pembroke City Council with two other individuals, Chéla Breckon and Dorian Pearce. If the three are elected, they would represent half of the City Council vote to help move projects forward. Wood says when you put the three candidates together they are a super team.
Wood is a big community ambassador and loves working with youth. As a veteran with a disability, Wood feels she can advocate and be a voice for people in Pembroke.
Jane Wood, Chéla Breckon and Dorian Pearce are three of the candidates running for Pembroke City Council.
Other people running for council in Pembroke include Brian Abdallah, Dan Callaghan, Andrew (Andy) Clark, Ed Jacyno, Ian Kuehl, Patricia (Pat) Lafreniere, Jason Laronde, Andrew Plummer, Troy Purcell, Stacy Taylor, Wade Wallace and Karen Walsh.
