Residents of Pembroke voted for change in the Monday night election. Brian Abdallah has been elected Deputy Mayor. Others elected to council include Ed Jacyno, Ian Kuehl, Pat Lafreniere, Andrew Plummer, and Troy Purcell. Already acclaimed Mayor Ron Gervais tells myFM he’s excited to get the new team together.
Gervais also tells myFM that there is work to be done.
The new Deputy Mayor, Brian Abdallah also says he’d over the moon to be elected once again.
Abdallah also mentions to myFM that he hopes the council will move on the issues that many brought up during the campaign.
The current term of the council will end on November 1st with the newly elected members taking office come the 15th.
