James Carmody has been re-elected as a Town Councillor in Petawawa. Carmody has been an elected representative for the last three terms (12-years) and is looking forward to continue serving the community and helping grow Petawawa.
Carmody talks about the possibility of bringing back the live-streaming of council meetings for members of the community, something the town did during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The re-elected town councillor is also excited about starting the equity, diversity and inclusion committee.
Carmody has worked alongside newly elected Mayor Gary Serviss for the last eight years and thinks he will do an excellent job leading Petawawa.
Carmody will serve on council alongside new Deputy Mayor Theresa Sabourin, and fellow councillors Murray Rutz, Lisa Coutu, Adam Driscoll and Karen Donovan.
