The Petawawa Public Library will be hosting a “Community Helpers Day” this Friday, November 18th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
This drop-in event will allow kids of all ages to meet and learn more about Petawawa firefighters, military police, and individuals with other unique careers.
Youth Programming Technician, Sarah Speight says the event is for everyone during the upcoming school P.A. day and there is no registration required.
Speight says this will help teach kids to recognize and appreciate all of the community members and the roles that they play.
Speight says kids will be able to ask the visitors questions while also completing crafts and activities based on the different jobs being featured.
More information about this event can be found on the Petawawa Public Library Facebook page or on their website here.
