Firefighters in Petawawa were called out to a home on Biesenthal Road.
Acting Fire Chief Craig Proulx says they were called out around 10:00am this morning.
Proulx says five firefighters attended from the Town of Petawawa along with three firefighters and a pumper truck from the Garrison Petawawa Fire Department.
Proulx says there was no fire, just an overheated condition in the home caused by the heating system.
The Acting Fire Chief says there was no injuries and the owner arrived to smoke in their home then called the fire department.
The Town of Petawawa Fire Department is reminding everyone to make sure furnaces are properly maintained and to have working Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Detectors.
