The Town of Petawawa has received an update on plans for two new 30-unit apartment buildings. The new apartment buildings will go up behind Boston Pizza with access from Limestone Trail. Council reviewed the site plan application submission from Lantern Developments at their meeting Monday night (December 12th, 2022).
Director of Planning and Development Karen Cronier says each building will be four stories tall and all units will be two bedroom apartments. Cronier says the developer has talked about building a gazebo on-site and the potential for back-up generators for each building. The site plans lays out 99 parking spaces for the sixty new units with five accessible units per building.
Councillor Murray Rutz says this will be another good enhancement for the community. Plans will come back before council at a later date for approval.
