Some of the top ringette talents in the province was in the Valley this weekend for the first weekend of the Ontario Winter Games. Ringette Ontario’s teams hosted a thrilling tournament at the Nick Smith Centre in Arnprior, inviting the community to check out their sport. Team Orange ended up with the gold medal, but everybody was able to enjoy the weekend.
That was Coach Becky Branton, who said Ringette Ontario was grateful for the community response.
The players were excited about the weekend too, as Thalia Nalley said, it was nice to get together for the tournament.
Nalley’s words were echoed by Maya Howard, who believes anybody interested should check out their sport.
Ringette Ontario’s Team Orange ended up beating Team Red for the gold medal finals yesterday (Sunday), with Team Black beating Team Blue to secure bronze.
