With the snow beginning to melt, that means it’s almost baseball time in the Upper Ottawa Valley. The Upper Ottawa Valley Little League is a community-based, volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to providing both House and Competitive level baseball and softball for boys and girls. President Amanda Williamson tells myFM that registration for baseball is off to a great start, but they are still looking for more girls softball players.
The organization includes players from Pembroke and Petawawa, to Deep River, Eganville, Cobden, Laurentian Valley, Westmeath and Beachburg. Williamson also mentions that they are looking for coaches for their younger age groups leading up to the baseball season and they offer all the support you need.
The league President goes on to say that more details about registration can be found on their website.
Depending on the weather, the baseball season should begin in May and continue until August.
