The Deep River Bowling Alley is celebrating 75 years in the community. The facility was built back in 1946 but the milestone birthday was postponed due to the pandemic. Michelle Viens is on the anniversary planning committee and she tells myFM that they have special pricing to mark the occasion on the weekend of May 12th.
She also tells myFM that they are also using the occasion as a fundraiser.
On Sunday, the open house will be with letting people come in and look around and seeing the history of the building. They also are hoping to have a ribbon cutting, if anyone wants to throw some bowling balls between 1 and 3 in the afternoon. Casual Bowling on Sunday from 3 to 5 will have a cost of $7.50 an hour.
