The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP are getting a head start on getting local students off on the right foot for September. From now until August 21st, the OPP have set up drop off locations at the detachments in Pembroke and Petawawa, collecting school supplies for are students. Constable Mike Mahon tells myFM that the sky is the limit with what they are collecting.
Mahon tells myFM that this is a lead up to their school supply drive in August.
The Constable mentions that they hope to continue to the program.
The goal of the drive is to collect items that can be provided to help families support any students going back to school in the fall of 2023. Every student deserves the ability to be as prepared as the next. Victim Services and the OPP want to help anyone that might need the assistance get it.
