The Pembroke Lumber Kings have won back-to-back games to remain strong in the Robinson Division. It was a packed house at the PMC last night as nearly 1,000 people were in attendance during Military Appreciation Night, where the team honored past and present armed forces members. The Raiders tallied early in the first to open the scoring at 1:59 but the Lumber Kings would take over from there. Ryan Parent netted his 8th of the season on the power play to tie the game at 7:51 of the first. Cam Hicklin and Ryan Parent added his second of the game during the second period to give the Kings a 3-1 lead. The offense continued to pour it on in the third with Assistant Captain Ryan McNally finding the back of the net while Easton Penna and Kyle Cameron each scored their firsts of the season, to make a 6-1 win for the Kings. Pembroke’s power play has been a hot topic this year, adding another three to their season tally. A factor that was a major problem last year, has now become one of their most dangerous weapons. The Lumber Kings have 19 points through the first 16 games of the season. Good for third place in the division and 8th overall in the CCHL. Pembroke is back on the road this Remembrance Day when they visit the Ottawa Jr. Senators. Game time is 7:40 and that’s a broadcast game here on myFM.
