
A pair of suspects arrested for breaking into local storage units will not be having a very merry Christmas.
Killaloe OPP began investigating back on November 12th and 13th after a pair of storage units on Round Lake Road were entered illegally.
Officers with Renfrew OPP would join the case after another unit along Whitton Road in Horton was also broken into on November 21st.
As a result of continued investigation by members from both detachments, with help from the Renfrew County Community Street Crime Unit, 29-year-old Devon Kingsbury of McNab Braeside now faces a total of 33 charges in relation, including:
- 20 counts of Break and Enter,
- 4 counts of mischief,
- 2 counts of possession of break-in tools,
- 3 counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000,
- Careless Storage of a Firearm,
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm,
- Theft over $5000, and
- Theft under $5000
35-year-old Caylah Luloff of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation was also arrested and faces four charges:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime,
- Trafficking in Stolen Goods Under $5000,
- Careless use of a firearm and
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Both have since been released from custody ahead of their court appearance in early January.
