Two individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with a suspicious death investigation when a body was found in the Mississippi River near Pakenham. Police were first called out back on November 12th and later found 50-year-old Rose Kerwin, who had been missing since the previous day. Yesterday, Marcel Lapensee, a 56-year-old from Carleton Place, and Samantha Osborne, a 23-year-old from Iroquois, have been charged with First Degree Murder. In a separate investigation, both have also been charged concerning a sexual assault of another victim, which was reported to the Lanark OPP on November 15th.
