The mission to bring on-demand transit to Pembroke has taken another step forward. Following a report from the Parks and Recreation Committee meeting with an estimate of cost for a public opinion survey and a transit planning study as possible next steps for a transit pilot project. Staff delivered the report for Committee direction on how to proceed. The information was received by the city’s Finance Committee. Deputy Mayor Brian Abdallah tells myFM news what happens now.
Abdallah tells myFM news that they are using the model from North Grenville.
The Deputy Mayor goes on to say that it’s important that the program will need to be supported.
When asked about the process of an RFP, Brian mentions there are several moving factors.
