The “Closer to Home” campaign by the Deep River and District Health Foundation is hitting new milestones, now at 51.7% of its goal, thanks to an incredible $6,000 donation from the Deep River Bowling Alley. This not only boosts the campaign but also lends support to the “Kid’s Entertainment Zone” at the upcoming Run for Home 2024 event.
Established in 1946, the Deep River Bowling Alley holds a special place as one of North Renfrew’s oldest and most dedicated volunteer groups. As the exclusive bowling spot in the Ottawa Valley and the only volunteer-run one in all of Ontario, it plays a vital role in building community connections.
James Thompson, the Community Engagement & Fundraising Coordinator at DRDH, extended heartfelt thanks to the President, Vice-President, and all the committed volunteers at the Deep River Bowling Alley, emphasizing, “Our community’s unwavering generosity continues to astound and is truly a source of deep appreciation.”
