A pair of impaired drivers were taken off the roads in a matter of days. Just before 5:30 on Saturday night, Upper Ottawa Valley OPP were called out to the Cecelia Street and Irving Street area of Pembroke. 38-year-old Nicholas Lester of Pembroke was later charged with impaired driving and possession of cocaine. The on Monday night, police responded to a call about a possible impaired tractor trailer driver on Highway 17. OPP later pulled the vehicle over on Fibreboard Drive. A 42-year-old from Brampton was later charged with drunk driving. Charges have not been proven in court.
