Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Brenda Barr of Renfrew.
Brenda, a retiree, matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order during the June 4th LOTTO MAX draw to win $100,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Dahl’s Coin Laundry & Coffee Bar on Stewart Street in Renfrew.
“When the store clerk validated my ticket, it said ‘Big Winner’ and I had to ask how much I had won,” she recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her windfall. “When I was handed the slip and saw the prize amount, I was shocked. The store clerk had to get me a stool so I could sit down!”
“I called my son, crying and he asked, ‘What is it mom?’ I said, ‘I won a whole bunch of money!’ and we had a good laugh. It’s a great feeling,” Brenda said, when describing her winning moment. “It’s like an OMG feeling,” she smiled.
Brenda plans to set aside some of her winnings for a well-deserved trip. “This win will make life a little easier,” she concluded.
