The Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre is delighted to announce its 12th annual Victorian Tea, set to take place on Friday, August 16, 2024. Guests are invited to enjoy a charming woodwind musical performance by Zephyr while sipping tea and indulging in a selection of sandwiches, scones, and desserts.
This year’s event will feature two sittings: the first at 11:30 a.m. and the second at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $14 per person and $7 for children, with free admission for children aged 6 and under. Members of the Ottawa Valley Historical Society can purchase tickets for a discounted price of $12. To secure a spot, attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets can be bought at the museum office during open hours (Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) using cash, debit, credit, or by email money transfer to curator@uovheritagecentre.ca.
The event also features a raffle with fantastic prizes. Brian and Valerie Schizkoske have generously donated two exquisite gift baskets, and a beautiful rug woven by volunteer Sharon Rideough during this year’s Strawberry Festival will also be up for grabs. Proceeds from the raffle will support the museum’s event planning fund, ensuring the continuation of these cherished community events. The Centre extends its heartfelt thanks to all donors and volunteers for their invaluable contributions.
Mark your calendars for Friday, August 16th, and join the Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre for an enchanting Victorian Tea. For more information, contact the museum at 613-735-0517, visit their Facebook page for updates, and follow them to stay informed about future events.
