It was a busy long weekend in the area for the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF).
The OPP’s SAVE (Snowmobile, ATV and Vessel Enforcement) team joined forces with ministry officials for bush patrols in the Renfrew and Bancroft areas this weekend.
Patrols resulted in a number of charges, including: nine off-road vehicle act charges; six liquor licence control act charges; one cannabis control act charge, four Canada Shipping Act charges.
In addition, an ALPR (automated license plate reader) hit resulted in a suspension and seven-day impound for one driver.
Fifty warnings were also issued, say officials.
