The Renfrew County Real Estate Board (RCREB) held a cheque ceremony yesterday to celebrate their fundraising goals. In it’s 20th annual charity golf tournament, the Renfrew County Realtors achieved remarkable success by raising a total of $45,859.88. The funds will support several worthy causes within the community.
Four local organizations were selected randomly to be this years recipients, Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation received $10,000, while both Hospice Renfrew and St. Francis Healthcare Foundation received $11,919.96.
Sue Martin, Executive Officer for RCREB tells myFM how thrilled she was to see the amount they raised this year. Leading up to the golf tournament fundraiser, the community could voice their opinions on who would receive the funds raised.
during the cheque presentation, the room was filled with positivity and smiles as everyone was thrilled to see all the good work and effort that went into the fundraiser to make this a reality. Megan Jones was in attendance to receive the cheque on behalf of the DRDH Foundation. She explains how the proceeds will help support the DRDH projects and community.
This event reflects the RCREB commitment to giving back to the community, as they have contributed a total of $356,709.53 to over 35 local charities through their tournament over the past 2o years.
