The winners of the Petawawa Ramble Business Pumpkin Folks Harvest Displays were announced on October 23, during Small Business Week. The event took place at the Dairy Queen on Civic Centre Road, sponsored by McKie Pools & Spas. Community members had the chance to vote online for their favorite displays, resulting in over 500 engagements this year.
In the category of Best Business Harvest Displays, the top honors went to Dairy Queen for their “Blizzard Bonanza,” followed by The Shed with “East Coast Welcome,” and End of the Leash for “Who Let The Dogs Out?” These creative entries showcased the fun spirit of the event.
The Best Harvest Display with Theme was awarded to Music for Young Children for their display titled “Cirque de Musique.” Additionally, Ritchie’s Feed and Seed received an Honorable Mention from the judges for their “Bob Ross Art” display, highlighting the artistic flair within the community.
The Committee’s Choice recognized Home Front Dental and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School for their exceptional displays. The Crowd Favourite award went to The Country Cupboard, while St. John’s Lutheran Church was celebrated for their Community Display.
This announcement wraps up the Petawawa Ramble festivities, which ran from October 17 to 20, 2024. The Pumpkin Folks displays celebrate community pride and creativity by transforming pumpkins into artistic exhibits. This year, residents and businesses participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talents and contributing to the festive atmosphere.
