Let’s make sure no child is cold this winter.
That’s the motto for an annual campaign being led by Jessica Fay of Royal Lepage Realty, in partnership with Scott’s Shoe Store.
For the fifth year in a row, this initiative will benefit Operation Snowsuit.
Why did Jessica want to start this effort? The need really hits home, she says.
She credits Scott’s Shoe Store for their eagerness to participate.
Anyone wishing to contribute can drop off new or gently used winter gear to Scott’s locations in Renfrew, Pembroke or Arnprior, or to the Royal Lepage offices in Cobden or Stittsville.
Items accepted include snowsuits, hats, mittens, snowpants, jackets and boots. Knitted items cannot unfortunately be accepted but everything else is welcome.
Fay said she is continuously impressed by and grateful for the support for the effort.
The campaign runs until Dec. 1 and for every item donated, your name goes into a draw for a chance to win one of three Scott’s Shoe Store gift cards – valued at $250, $150 and $100.
All donations will be handed over to the Renfrew County Community Poverty Action Network and distributed to local children in need.
