HIGHFRONT, an indie band from Pembroke, faces a major setback after a devastating fire destroyed their rehearsal space and equipment. On October 27, the fire ripped through their creative hub, taking with it not just their instruments, but personal items and memorabilia that held deep meaning for the band members. This space was where countless songs were written and where the band grew together as a unit. For HIGHFRONT, the loss goes beyond gear—it’s the loss of memories and milestones that define their journey.
In the wake of this heartbreaking event, the band has received unexpected support from Ella Gutzman, a fan they met at their Deep River Summerfest show. Ella, along with her family, has started a GoFundMe campaign to help the band recover. HIGHFRONT is grateful for her kindness and is reaching out to their fans and the community for help.
The band is asking for small donations from their supporters to help them rebuild. Whether it’s $5 or $10, every contribution counts. If enough people come together, their combined efforts can help the band exceed their fundraising target and get back to making music. “We’re committed to pushing through this and reestablishing ourselves,” said the band in a recent update. “Our goal is to get back to doing what we love—making and playing music.”
The GoFundMe campaign, launched on November 4, which is now at $1,830 aims to support the band in replacing their lost equipment and getting back on their feet. You can support HIGHFRONT by donating through their campaign page: GoFundMe: HIGHFRONT Fire Recovery.

HIGHFRONT members Adam Loback (guitar/vocals), Corey Zadorozny (drums), and Jason Desmarais (bass) are determined to overcome this setback and continue creating the music their fans love.
