The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for the public’s help in locating the person or people who assaulted a cyclist.
On Dec. 1, around midnight, a cyclist was travelling along Pembroke Street East. between Drive-in Road and Old Mill Road when a dark-coloured vehicle approached with three or four people inside.
“The 24-year-old cyclist was struck in the head with an object thrown from the vehicle. The cyclist suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment,” reads an OPP press release.
The OPP is asking anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the incident or has any video/dash cam footage from that area between 11 p.m. on Nov. 30, and 12:30 a.m. Dec. 1, contact the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP at 613-732-3332 or Pembroke/Renfrew County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or at www.valleytips.ca .
