Are you looking for a last-minute date night before Christmas?
How about checking out a new movie filmed locally?
This Thursday evening at the O’Brien Theatre in Arnprior, Lutes Cousins Films is hosting a special screening of Pictures of Us, filmed in and around the Ottawa Valley in 2023.
The decision to host the screening for family and friends of the extras, actors and crew, was spur-of-the-moment and there will only be one showing. The movie premiered at a red-carpet event in Ottawa in October.
“But, it’s going to be a fun evening and one more chance to see it on the big screen,” reads a social media post.
Director Brian Lutes has described Pictures of Us as a gritty Romeo and Juliet-type story. This summer, Lutes was back in the Valley to shoot ‘Not a Love Story,’ a prequel to Pictures of Us.
Anyone planning to attend is encouraged to email annamaryh@sympatico.ca directly for tickets, which cost $10. Tickets will also be available at the door.
The ‘Pictures of Us’ screening will start at 7 p.m. Find the O’Brien Theatre in Arnprior at 147 John St. North.
