Canada Post is slowly returning to normal operations after recent disruptions. The Crown Corporation announced on Tuesday morning that it has restored full service levels for domestic parcel deliveries and has reinstated on-time service guarantees for these shipments.
However, when it comes to letters, such as bills, cheques, and statements, Canada Post says delivery will take a bit longer. The company is still working to clear accumulated mail and process new items. As a result, delivery delays of several days beyond the usual service standards are expected for letters.
Additionally, customers should be prepared for delivery delays of several days for incoming international items. These delays are still being addressed as Canada Post continues to catch up on processing.
While the restoration of full service for parcels is a step forward, Canada Post advises customers to be patient as the company works to reduce backlogs and return to its regular delivery schedule.
