The McDonald’s restaurant in Pembroke is currently undergoing significant renovations aimed at improving service and efficiency. The restaurant is temporarily closed and is expected to have a soft-open this weekend.
General Manager Francesca Rakinic tells myFM that the last time this location saw renovations was over 10 years ago. She is eager to welcome the regulars back once the dinner room is complete.
The renovations include a realignment of kitchen and drive-thru equipment to streamline operations and provide faster service for customers. With these updates, the restaurant aims to reduce employee steps and improve overall efficiency. Rakinic goes into detail about the renovations and how it will help staff.
In addition to the kitchen improvements, McDonald’s Pembroke is renovating its dining room, giving it a fresh new look. The renovations include new tables, chairs, lighting, and updated customer washrooms. The dining room will be ready for customers in the coming weeks and Rakinic explains that the entire dinning room will look completely different.
Staff have been training and practicing for open day as they are eager to serve their loyal customers again. Owner and operator Brian Johnstone expresses excitement about the improvements and looks forward to welcoming back loyal customers this weekend.
McDonalds will open its drive through this weekend and will hold a grand opening in the coming weeks.
