It’s looking like a day off for many school-aged kids across the Ottawa Valley.
Local schools are still open, but the Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium has put out a notice for this morning warning that all school bus services have been cancelled as last night’s snowstorm continues into early today.
Environment Canada has also issued a winter travel advisory, saying the lingering snow and winds will impact the morning commute.
They’re asking people heading out this morning to be prepared to adjust their driving as road conditions change and to be aware that roads and walkways could become slippery. If you lose visibility while driving this morning, the weather agency says to slow down, watch for taillights ahead, and be ready to stop.
