Laurentian Valley Township is gearing up for a live training exercise this week. In partnership with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, the Laurentian Valley and Petawawa Fire Departments, the County of Renfrew Paramedic Service, Upper Ottawa Valley OPP, Renfrew County and District Health Unit, and Renfrew County Amateur Radio Emergency Services, Community Care Access Centre and the Ministry of Transportation, there will be a real-time, joint emergency response training exercise in Laurentian Valley on Wednesday. All the training will be happening around the Alice and Fraser Recreation Centre and you are being asked to use caution when in the vicinity of emergency vehicles and crews. Most of all, remember it’s just an exercise and there is no real emergency.
