The Royal Canadian Legion in Eganville is struggling to stay open due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
COVID-19 has left the Eganville Legion with no source of income since their main source of revenue was from hall rentals, bar sales and bingo nights.
This year marks the 75th anniversary for Branch 353.
The Eganville Legion averages about $2,000 in expenses not including the cost of heat.
With the fate of Branch 353 in jeopardy, a fundraiser has been launched called “Operation Save Our Legion”.
Donations can be made online, to the Rotary Club of Eganville or dropped off at the Eganville Leader office.
Tax receipts will be issued for donations over $25.
