Storm clean up efforts continue on the outskirts of Pembroke into Laurentian Valley.
What appears to be a microburst or possibly a tornado ripped through the Drive-In Road area around 3:00pm Sunday afternoon (September 13th).
Laurentian Valley Fire Chief Tim Sutcliffe says roughly 20 houses were damaged, some worse than others, but luckily nobody was hurt.
The Fire Chief says when crews arrived on scene they had about a dozen situations to deal with including fallen trees on hydro lines, homes, a vehicle, fences damaged, shingles blown off roofs and more.
Upwards of 200 people who lived in the area were without power for several hours as hydro crews worked to restore service.
Environment Canada says they have little information as weather stations in the area did not capture anything, however meteorologists will be working with the Northern Tornado Project for a remote assessment to determine EF rating and if a tornado was the cause.
The @westernuNTP team is aware of storm damage from earlier today in the Pembroke, ON, area. Unfortunately the distance from London prevents an NTP ground team from visiting, but we'll be using all available evidence to determine EF rating and if a tornado was the cause #onstorm
