Instead of an in-person event, this year the annual Garrison Petawawa Commanders’ business lunch was held on Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The virtual event had the theme “we are community – we are in this together”.
Presentations were made by the new 4CDSG Commander Colonel John Vass and 2CMBG Commander Colonel Eric Landry.
Topics covered included troop training and deployment, road work and new construction on base along with COVID-19 and visitor restrictions at the Garrison.
More in depth details on topics discussed will be shared at a later date.
Last year, the business luncheon was held at the 450-helicopter squadron building with over 200 people in attendance.
The virtual luncheon Thursday afternoon (November 19th), had about 70 people logged into Zoom.
