It’s the largest daily increase in COVID-19 cases in Renfrew County and District since the start of the pandemic.
Today (December 7th), the Renfrew County and District Health Unit confirmed 12 positive cases of COVID-19.
The local health unit says all the cases are community members and 11 of them are in the Pembroke area and the other is in the Renfrew area.
This follows the news on Friday (December 4th), that there was possible community spread involving a tight knit community of 30-families in the Pembroke area.
All 12 new cases, plus the additional two that were reported last week are listed in self-isolation.
There’s now a total of 147 confirmed cases in Renfrew County and District, 132 are considered resolved and one person has died from complications due to the virus.
