Applications for residents looking to join the Diversity Advisory Committee in Pembroke are being accepted.
This newly formed committee will provide advice and recommendations to council related to diversity, equity and inclusion in Pembroke.
The committee will also advise the city on actions that can be taken to ensure Pembroke is a welcoming, safe and inclusive city for all.
The creation of the Diversity Advisory Committee was a recommendation from members of the Mayor’s Diversity Roundtable meetings.
Pembroke Mayor Mike LeMay is incredibly grateful to the individuals who have shared their time, their ideas, and their experiences over the past few months at these meetings.
Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25th.
Individuals who self-identify as a Black, Indigenous, or persons of colour (BIPOC) and/or a member of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and two-spirited (LGBTQ2+) community are strongly encouraged to apply.
