Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke Member of Parliament Cheryl Gallant has used the House of Commons Question Period to ask some pointed questions about vaccinations.
The local member finds it ironic that Canada is cracking down on in-bound travel, while sending members of our military overseas without vaccinating them against the disease.
Gallant notes that incidents of COVID-19 have been on the rise with Members of the Canadian Armed Forces. In fact, Canadian Forces personnel in Latvia HAVE contracted COVID.
The MP was less than satisfied by the response from Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan who assured Gallant that
“the health and well-being of our Canadian Armed Forces members is always a top priority… I can assure the member and all Canadians that our Canadian Armed Forces members will be prioritized according to the best science and medical advice from our surgeon general.”
