Firefighters from Garrison Petawawa will be doing prescribed burning this spring.
The burning will be conducted by the Garrison Petawawa Fire Department and is necessary to eliminate fire hazards when hot summer months arrive.
Residents may see or smell smoke coming from the Garrison Petawawa Range and Training area and air quality could be affected for short periods of time, however there is no cause for alarm as fully trained firefighters will be controlling the situation.
