Going into action Sunday, Pembroke and the Kemptville 73’s were tied for the division lead however a 4-3 overtime loss by Kemptville along with Pembroke’s win, was enough to push the Kings into first place. The Kings bounced back from a disappointing loss to the Hawks on Friday with a 5-3 win over the Raiders last night, in front of roughly 320 fans at the PMC. Jack Stockfish got Pembroke on the board first. Captain Brady Egan also got his league-leading 18th goal of the season on a breakaway. Netting a marker for Pembroke in the second was Jesse Kirkby. In the third, Gavin Ewles scored his first of the season then Joe Jordan scored on a Pembroke power play with just under six minutes remaining. The Lumber Kings will now travel to Cornwall on Thursday to take on the Colts. Game time is 7:30.
