COVID-19 outbreaks have been declared at six long-term care/retirement homes and congregate settings across Renfrew County and District along with two local hospitals.
The Renfrew Victoria Hospital and Pembroke Regional Hospital continue to monitor COVID-19 outbreaks.
Supples Landing Retirement Home, Valley Manor long-term care home, the Madonna House, Upper Ottawa Valley Community Living, Carefor Civic Complex and Country Haven Retirement Home are all considered to be under a COVID-19 outbreak.
Information from the Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) shows the outbreak at Supples Landing Retirement Home was confirmed on December 29th, 2021 and the most recent outbreak at Country Haven Retirement Home was confirmed Thursday (January 6th, 2022).
The RCDHU is reporting 585 new COVID-19 cases in the last 7-days. Over the last week, five additional deaths from COVID-19 have been confirmed in Renfrew County and District, with nine local residents currently in the hospital, including two in the intensive care unit battling the virus. The RCDHU says 661 people are isolating at home after testing positive for COVID-19.
