Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement across the Ottawa Valley.
A messy mix of wintery weather is expected Wednesday afternoon to Friday morning.
Environment Canada says we could see 10 to 25 millimeters of rainfall starting Wednesday afternoon and continuing overnight.
Daytime temperatures on Wednesday are expected to hit a high of plus six.
Snow will be heavy at times continuing Wednesday night into Friday morning with anywhere from 10 to 20 centimeters of snowfall possible.
Precipitation will likely begin as rain Wednesday afternoon and transition to snow Wednesday overnight.
As temperatures drop to below the freezing mark Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, icy and slippery conditions are possible, as water on roadways and surfaces will freeze.
